Dr. Mirra is a graduate of Capella University with a Ph.D. in Psychology, in addition to Saint Leo University, receiving two master’s Degrees in both Criminology and Social Work. Dr. Mirra also has a master’s degree in Divinity from Regent University. Dr. Mirra is the author of The Heart Centered Journey, and African American Males in the AME Church and Psychological Help Seeking in addition to several other published articles and book chapters.  Dr. Mirra serves on numerous academic and community advisory boards. Dr. Mirra is a sought-out expert in the areas of mental health, spirituality, cultural humility, substance abuse, social work, domestic violence, in addition to multiple other topics. In addition to being a prominent therapist, Dr. Mirra has presented at a variety of conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Mental Wellness, Spirituality and Self Care, Authenticity and Self-Exploration, Religion and Mental Health, Cultural Humility, and Perinatal Mental Health. Dr. Mirra is a qualified supervisor with the State of Florida where she mentors registered interns seeking to gain licensure.

With over more than a decade of experience in the field of Social Work and counseling, and as a graduate of Saint Leo University, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are Substance Abuse and Addictions Counseling, Domestic Violence Counseling, Batterer’s Intervention Assessments and Counseling, Anger Management Counseling both Individual and Group, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Personality Disorders, Couples/Relationship Counseling and Child Protection.

Dr. Mirra is an interactive, Christian solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
