Sarita R. Colvin is a dually Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the States of Alabama and Missouri. She has worked in the mental and behavioral health field for over 20 years and has been working as a therapist for 10. She obtained her Master of Social Work and Public Health degrees from Saint Louis University of St. Louis, Missouri, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Social Work degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. Her current population of focus is adults aged 19 and older. Ms. Colvin specializes in working with adults who have experienced or been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, PTSD related to social, medical, or environmental trauma, grief/loss, spiritual/religious conflict, and stress. Her therapeutic training includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness meditation.
