Bio
Dr. Rogers is a licensed psychologist who earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, with a concentration in psychodynamic psychology. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Florida Atlantic University’s student counseling center in Boca Raton, FL, and his post-doctoral residency at The Watershed Addiction Treatment Program in Boynton Beach, FL, where he worked in the inpatient and outpatient programs with adults recovering from substance use disorders and other co-occurring mental health problems.
He has also worked as a Music Therapist for adolescents with addictions in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a Wilderness Therapist for at-risk youth in Nevada, and a counselor for chronically and severely mentally ill adults in Florida and Oregon. He utilizes psychodynamic, existential-humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to therapy, and he strives to provide a safe, comfortable, understanding, and non-judgmental environment to his patients. He provides assessment and treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups, from their teenage years through adulthood.
In his spare time, Dr. Rogers is also an avid surfer and guitarist.He particularly enjoys playing and listening to jazz and blues, and he loves traveling and spending time in the excitement and serenity of the outdoors.
