Marjorie Capers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Marjorie received her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Maryland, specializing in clinical behavioral health.
Marjorie currently serves CMPS clients from adolescence through adulthood, via in-office and telehealth appointments. Marjorie specializes in the treatment of trauma disorders, anxiety disorders, parent-child relational concerns, eating disorders and body image concerns, depressive disorders, and adjustment disorders in response to life changes.
Marjorie believes in the value of a strong therapeutic relationship and takes a strength-based perspective with all clients. She enjoys collaborating with clients to reach their self-defined goals and witnessing the positive change that comes from devoting time and effort towards one’s mental health.
Outside of the office, Marjorie enjoys time with her husband, adventures with her pup, reading, going to the beach, crafting, baking, and having movie nights.
