Dr. Boutrouille is a highly recognized expert in the field of treating patients with drug and alcohol addictions, a field in which she has spent over 20 years. She is a physician, a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction. She also is Outpatient Detoxification Certified and has extensive experience in the treatment of addictions. Since July 2012, Dr. Boutrouille has been an Assistant Professor for Psychiatry and Substance Abuse at University Pavilion in Tamarac, Florida
Dr. Boutrouille has been Addiction Board Certified since 1999 (recertified in 2009) and was recertified by the National Board of Psychiatric Medicine in 2010. Dr. Boutrouille obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree, with Distinction, from Caen Medical University in Normandy, France, in 1979, a Diploma of Tropical Disease from the University of Paris in Paris, France in 1979, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Caroline in Charleston, South Carolina in 1994.
