Sarasota, FL – Comprehensive MedPsych Systems, the largest private provider of comprehensive, multidisciplinary mental and behavioral health services in Florida, has moved to new headquarters in Sarasota.
The new office, on U.S. 41 across the street from Sarasota Museum of Modern Art and Sarasota High School employs a local staff of 33 psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, psychologists, psychotherapists, neuropsychology residents, and interns. Comprehensive MedPsych Systems provides an extensive and highly specialized range of mental and behavioral health services, including medication management, memory, and cognitive testing, psychoeducational and gifted evaluations, counseling/psychotherapy, forensic services, neurofeedback, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for Depression.
Comprehensive MedPsych Systems also provides services to the rehabilitation and medical units at area hospitals, including Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Doctors Hospital, HealthSouth, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, Venice Regional, and Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, as well as to area schools and substance and mental health programs.

The health care providers accept most insurance policies, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, United HealthCare, Humana, and Medicare, among others. Soon, TriCare will be accepted.
Comprehensive MedPsych Systems was established in 1998 by Dr. Geoffrey Kanter, a double board-certified adult and pediatric neuropsychologist and Executive Director of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. With the addition of Psychology Services of St. Augustine (PSSA) last December, and Silver Psychology Center in Ft. Myers in June, Comprehensive MedPsych Systems now has 18 offices and more than 90 clinicians providing clinical services in Florida, Alabama, and Indiana.
