Leah E. Mead, LMHC, CASAC-T

Hi, I’m Leah (she/her). Prior to joining the Psychological Healthcare team, I spent the last 4 years working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use settings. There, I developed a passion for helping marginalized groups, specifically the LGBTQIA+ and queer communities, and for helping all people address the trauma in their lives. I have experience with a variety of mental health disorders, including personality disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, neurodivergency, substance use disorders, trauma, and bipolar disorders, but I also enjoy working with people who need support through various transitions in their lives. My therapeutic style is genuine, accepting, and collaborative. I believe that you know yourself better than anyone, and I am here to assist and empower you to become the person you want to be, while challenging thoughts or behaviors that are standing in your way. I work best with adults who are open to a conversational dynamic and want to work together to build a therapeutic relationship. I use an eclectic clinical approach that combines CBT, DBT, solution focused, somatic, MI, and existential frameworks. I’m excited to work with you and help you on your journey.
