Dr. Thakur worked for more than 27 years for Kansas City VA Medical Center and retired from VA after 32 years of service. He retired from Army Reserve after 21 years of service and 6 deployments. Dr. Thakur has decades of experience working with VA and DOD patient population.

His primary interest has been working with war veterans, service members with PTSD, TBI and deployment related behavioral health care issues as well as teach people how to overcome adversities and succeed. Dr. Thakur worked as Medial Director of Restorative Brain Clinic with large number of patients treating with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatments for Major Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, PTSD with Depression. He has been passionate for past 24 years to study from any healing sciences why some people are healthy and succeed in life despite multiple adversities and stressors in life.

Dr. Thakur is a believer that health is a state of complete physical, mental, relational, spiritual and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease. He has dedicated his life to mind body medicine and help and transform lives of war veterans who suffer from PTSD/Life Stress as well as teach people lifestyle changes to live long healthy lives. The reasons his patients and audience believe in him is because he personally practices what he teaches consistently for past 25 years.
