CMPS specializes in a variety of services for children. This includes neuropsychological evaluation, psychological evaluation, individual counseling, and family therapy. With 4 pediatric neuropsychologists, 2 child psychologists, and 1 pediatric mental health counselor, we can provide in-depth Psychological, Neuropsychological, Psychoeducational, GIfted and Custody/Visitation evaluations along with follow-up treatment as necessary. This may include evaluation for cognitive dysfunction (such as secondary to a brain injury), ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, behavioral/emotional problems, and family dysfunction.

CMPS contracts with the Florida Center for Child and Family Development to perform cognitive evaluations as part of a special state grant funding project for the identification and diagnosis of children who suffer from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

We have the expertise to provide custody and forensic evaluations which examine a child’s or family member’s emotional stability as it relates to parenting capabilities and custody decision-making.

An accurate diagnosis must be based on a Comprehensive Evaluation to distinguish the root cause and source of the attentional, behavioral or academic problems. This has a direct relationship to what will be the most effective treatment.
